Introduction

The Hong Kong Intercham was established in Hong Kong in the mid-1980s and now is formed as NGO by 31 the official Foreign chambers of commerce and business associations in Hong Kong.

History and Purpose

At the beginning of its establishment, the Hong Kong Intercham  was mainly composed of members of the International Business Chamber (IBC), which is an advisory comittee composed of official foreign chambers of commerce in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong SAR government. The organization has been strongly encouraged and promoted by the Hong Kong government and invited by the Chief Secretary for Administration of foreign countries' official chambers of commerce in Hong Kong as members of the organization.

In addition, the Hong Kong Intercham also regularly organizes a number of business exchange activities every year to enhance the economic and trade cooperation between businessmen from various countries. At the same time, the Hong Kong Intercham support in public welfare undertakings in Hong Kong, has established the Hong Kong Intercham  Scholarship, which is provided for Hong Kong undergraduates students in needy Hong Kong tertiary institutions, who study in business management-related fields and demonstrate outstanding academics, achievement and financial support need.

About The Hong Kong Intercham Scholarship
The Hong Kong Intercham Scholarship is a part of the Hong Kong Intercham,  a non-profit organization established under the Hong Kong Societies Ordinance. The Hopng Kong Intercham selected and appointed its members (representatives of official foreign chambers of commerce in Hong Kong) as members of the Scholarship Committee. The administration and management of donations to the organization are carried out in accordance with the relevant constitution and laws of the association and the awarding conditions set by the donors.  The fellowship committee members serve as the chairman, vice-chairman and secretary secretarial service, treasurer and reviewer.

商會介紹

香港國際商會於二十世纪八十年代中期在香港成立，現在商會是由於31個駐港外國國家官方商會和商業協會組成的非形式團體。

歷史及宗旨

商會成立初期主要由International  Business Chamber (IBC)成員所组成，IBC是一個由不同的駐港外國國家官方商會與香港特區政府諮詢機構。該組織並得到香港政府大力鼓勵推動及由政務司長邀請駐港外國國家官方商會為該機構成員駐港外國國家官方商會透過IBC定期季度會議，香港政府與外國商界有了更加深層次的交流。

此外香港國際商會每年亦定期舉辦多個商務交流活動来提升各國商界人仕的經貿合作。與此同時，香港國際商會更為香港公益事業也不為余力，更成立香港國際商會獎學金，每年為有需要香港大專院校學生提供的獎學金，開放給在商業管理相關領域學習、表現出傑出學術成就和有經濟需要的香港本科生競爭。

關於國際商會獎學金
國際商會獎學金為國際商會一部份, 獎學金是一個根據香港社團條例成立的非牟利組織。國際商會鄰選委任其屬下分會會員(駐港外國國家官方商會代表)為該獎學金委員會成員。組織捐款的行政及管理工作依照有關社團憲章法例及各捐款人所定下的頒授條件進行。並由該獎學金委員會成員擔任主席,副主席和秘書秘書服務,司庫和評審委員。
